Lucky Restaurant in Bandra West

Nothing to overly recommend Lucky Hotel except for the food. The hotel itself is rather shoddily maintained and at a hugely busy traffic junction, thus always noisy

until very late into the night. In fact, during the mornings and evenings, it becomes next to impossible to conduct a conversation without raising ones voice,

sometimes even with the air-conditioning on and windows shut tight. Also, please take my advice and keep your windows shut at all times, there`s a hell of a lot of

pollution in the air due to the perenially heavy traffic and everything in the room gets a thick layer of dust and grime within a couple of hours. The service from the

room service and front desk was slow but they were generally nice people. Foodwise, everything to recommend if you`re a carnivore, nothing if you`re not. Lucky

biryani is famous throughout Bombay (I came to know this because whosoever I informed about where I was staying wanted to know if I`d tried the biryani) and

justifiably so, really good. There was a bakery counter as well which I used on the last day to pick up some snacks for my train journey back to Delhi - the nargisi

kababs were awesome though oily, but I`d avoid the chicken lollipops because they`d become very dry and rubbery by the time I`d opened the parcel in the train.

Locationwise, except for the aforementioned traffic/pollution issues, everything to recommend because it`s right opposite the road that leads to Bandra station - one

can reach south Bombay within half an hour (Churchgate if you take a train from the western side or Bandra station, CST a.k.a Victoria Terminus if you cross over

and take a train from the eastern side) - in this respect it`s very well located.

Awesome Chicken Biryani, Chicken Achari Tikka, Chicken Makhanwaala. One of the best non-veg joint in Mumbai. Moreover you have a valet parking, so no tension !!

I live in Khar(W). My standard Sunday breakfast and/or lunch for the past 10 years, alternately of course - Kheema pav, Bheja Fry, Chicken biryani, mutton biryani, phirni. I don`t know why God considered me good enough so that He put me so close to Lucky. Thank you God, for EVERYTHING!
