Awesome place to dine out with family and friends especially if you simply love Chinese cuisine and even if you don`t, you should definitely try it out.
The hot and light tea served throughout the main course is just great.
Besides all I can say is that you end up ordering and eating so much that you yourself wouldn`t have expected.
Keep your China Gates, you guys, Mainland China is here!! And not a moment too soon if you ask me. Our family is a total MC fans-group but it was honestly getting very tiring to drive up to Saki Naka in Mumbai`s traffic.
I will not waste time or words on mundane things like decor and ambience - if the food`s good, ambience kicks in automatically. Look out for Shoppers` Stop on linking road and home in to Chinese culinary orgasm.
As usual, we started with the crackling spinach - no matter how many times we go to/come to MC, this is always our first choice. These are the ONLY times in our collective lives that we have eaten spinach on our own accord and without Mom threatening us with bodily harm. No matter what Popeye the sailor man says, you have to try it yourself to believe that spinach can indeed be so delicious and can indeed crackle!
Other starters we dabbled with were, duck in a spicy plum sauce (first time, terrific, could do with a little less spice), and some prawn and water-chestnut dumplings (second time, terrific too). For the main course, they gave us a large size fish (I forgot to ask the name) which had been steamed to perfection and which was served in a sea of fresh ginger and soya sauce - this was absolutely divine! The fish was just correctly moist on the inside, neither runny nor overly dried out, the unique taste of the fish had maintained itself and was clearly tangible aside from the strong sauce flavours.
Really good service, excellent food, I never tire of this place. General Tao`s chicken is my all-time favourite, so also Pepper chicken. The crispy fried honey noodles with vanilla icecream is yummy.
Fantastic! These guys treat you like a king. There is absolutely no compromise whether it is the service or the quality of food. You get your money`s worth.
